Preparation for the 2024-2025 Heating Season in Fokino

Specialists from Housing and Communal Services No. 6 of Fokino, a branch of the Federal State Institution “Central Housing and Utilities Administration” of the Ministry of Defense of Russia for the Navy, continue preparations for the 2024-2025 heating season in the area of responsibility of the Pacific Fleet.

Currently, more than 50 percent of the barracks and housing stock, as well as the water supply and sewerage facilities, have been prepared. Additionally, more than 40 percent of the heating facilities and over 80 km of heating and water supply and sewerage networks have been prepared.

Technical work is being carried out on 11 year-round boiler houses according to the schedule for maintenance work. To date, work has been fully completed on cleaning chimneys and flues, opening boilers and cleaning pipes from soot, inspecting shut-off valves, conducting hydraulic tests and pressure testing of boilers, as well as servicing pump groups, blow fans, and smoke exhausters.

The remaining boiler houses will be ready according to the schedule by September 2, 2024.

The heating service to maintain the temperature and humidity regime in special fund premises has already been resumed.
