Vice Chief of Naval Operations Visits Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory

The Department of the Navy (DON) has achieved a major milestone by launching the Waypoints system, which signifies a transformation in its learning approach. This innovative platform promises a more streamlined and adaptable learning experience, enhancing the overall capability and readiness of the force.

Waypoints is designed to unify the civilian learning management processes by replacing multiple existing platforms. It equips supervisors with tools to monitor employee training, aids administrators in command development, and offers career advancement resources for all users.

This new system is a critical component in reinforcing the operational excellence of the DON workforce. By integrating civilian employees more fully into the maritime service, it aligns with the DON’s broader mission of promoting mission readiness and fostering innovation to support military operations.
