Navy Relieves Reserve Center Shreveport Commanding Officer

In a significant leadership change at the Naval Reserve Center (NRC) Shreveport, Lt. Cmdr. Adam Sandifer has been relieved of his duties. Rear Adm. Michael Steffen, commander of Navy Reserve Forces Command, executed the decision.

The Navy consistently enforces rigorous standards for its commanding officers, ensuring accountability when these expectations are not met. This move underscores the Navy’s commitment to maintaining operational integrity.

With Sandifer’s reassignment, Lt. Cmdr. John Perez will temporarily take over command at NRC Shreveport. Sandifer is currently reassigned to the Navy Personnel Command following his command, which began in March 2024.
