Rear Adm. William Greene, commander of Navy Regional Maintenance Center, has made significant leadership changes at the Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC) in Yokosuka, Japan. Capt. Zaldy Valenzuela and Cmdr. Art Palalay have been relieved of duty as commanding officer and executive officer, respectively. In the interim, Capt. Dan Lannamann has taken command, while Cmdr. Timothy Emge steps into the role of executive officer until a permanent successor is appointed.

The Navy emphasizes that commanding officers and those in positions of authority are held to the highest standards. With substantial responsibilities, naval leaders must maintain the utmost integrity to earn the trust of their Sailors and command units.

SRF-JRMC plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational readiness of the U.S. 7th Fleet by providing intermediate and depot-level repairs to Navy ships stationed in the area.
