Vice Admiral Karl Thomas and First Admiral I Gung Putu Alit Jaya convened to discuss strategic partnerships and future joint exercises over a two-day tour, emphasizing both nations’ dedication to maritime security.

The meetings highlighted shared challenges and the necessity for cooperation in regional defense. Vice Admiral Thomas emphasized the importance of dialogues like these, noting, “Staff talks strengthen our ties, enabling dialogue on shared maritime challenges and building trust at an operational level.” Such conversations are pivotal for addressing pressing issues and fostering a deeper bond between the two navies.

Admiral Jaya expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, “Our friendship and brotherhood are crucial.
