Navy Exchange Service Command Celebrated for Championing Workplace Diversity Yet Again
The Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) has once again been recognized as an exemplary workplace for Latinas in the United States, securing its place on LATINA Style, Inc.’s prestigious list for the 13th consecutive year. This year, NEXCOM climbed to number 43, marking an improvement from its previous ranking.
“This accolade reflects the dedication of our entire NEXCOM Enterprise to nurturing an inclusive and diverse work environment,” expressed retired Rear Adm. Robert J. Bianchi, NEXCOM’s CEO. With a workforce of nearly 13,000 associates worldwide, Bianchi highlighted the representation of naval and national diversity within their ranks as a cornerstone of their success.
NEXCOM’s commitment to diversity shines through its strategic hiring initiatives. Emphasizing the recruitment of talent from Hispanic and Latino-serving educational institutions, NEXCOM also leverages Student Educational Employment Programs and internships offered by the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities. Additionally, they collaborate with organizations like the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE) and participate in diversity-focused job fairs to cast a wide net for prospective candidates.
The 2024 award will be formally presented during the LATINA Style 50 Awards and Diversity Leaders Conference, scheduled for May 2025 in Washington, D.C., further highlighting NEXCOM’s continuous efforts towards fostering an inclusive workplace.
