The crews of the corvettes “Rezky” and “Gromky” of the Pacific Fleet (PF) successfully completed an exercise to search for, detect, and destroy a mock enemy submarine in the East China Sea.

According to the exercise scenario, the PF corvettes received intelligence about a mock enemy submarine operating in their route area. The submarine was monitoring the activities of the Russian ships.

The commander of the ship detachment decided to launch a Ka-27PS helicopter for additional search of the “enemy” submarine. As a result of anti-submarine actions, the crews of the corvettes detected the submarine and sent a special signal, trying to force it to surface. After the submarine refused to comply, the combat units of the corvettes “Rezky” and “Gromky” jointly conditionally destroyed the submarine using torpedoes and RBU-6000 rocket and bomb launchers.

The exercise was conducted in accordance with the activity plan of the Pacific Fleet’s corvette detachment in the Asia-Pacific region.
